The virtual world of today, laced with the trappings of state-of-the-art gadgets and devices, has turned children into self-absorbed and isolated tech addicts. The entry of young children into a technology-obsessed world, far removed from reality is indeed a worrisome trend. The lines between the virtual and real world are blurred and a virtual tragedy becomes a real tragedy in a child’s perception sometimes driving them to take drastic actions. Their fixation with fantasy and compulsive internet addiction is leading to behavioural and social issues that often come with serious repercussions.

Even family communications happen with everyone glued to their devices and the result is a feeling of isolation and disconnect even with their loved ones. This feeling of abandonment leads them to addictions, pornography and sometimes even acts of aggression much to the dismay of their parents and caretakers.
